    What Makes Boden, Boden

    • A smiling man in a dark blazer, navy sweater, and blue jeans stands in a shop doorway holding a yellow 'Breaking Boring Clothes' sign. The background shows bookshelves, flowers, and a striped bench.
      01

      We're still led by our
      founder Johnnie.

Boden started in '91 as a catalogue drawn on his kitchen table. Three decades on, he still has a hand in everything we make.

    • Pigeon against a purple background
      02

      We deliver on
      our promises.

With every order that flies your way, you'll have 30 days to change your mind (and a fortnight to flip-flop on sale items).

    • Woman sewing tartan fabric
      03

      We say 'buy less,
      buy better'.

If you were to calculate the price per wear of a Boden item during its long and happy life, you'd literally be talking pennies.

    • Four women standing together outdoors in front of a wooden building, each holding a pint of beer. They are wearing colorful, patterned outfits including a dark green dress, striped blouses, and a bright red cardigan.
      04

      We’re proud of our
      British heritage.

As well as preventing us from becoming big-headed, it inspires our designers. And helps us dare to be different.

    • A close-up stack of ribbed fabric or material samples in multiple colors, including pink, navy, teal, green, olive, tan, mustard, yellow, orange, and red, arranged horizontally.
      05

      We believe colour
      makes you happy.

In fact, it's so uplifting it should probably be available on prescription from your family doctor.

    • An open brown cardboard box lined with blue and white striped tissue paper, containing a rectangular terracotta-colored brick or stone block, photographed against a solid blue background.
      06

      We don’t take
      ourselves too seriously.

We know we’re not everybody’s cup of tea. One woman hated our catalogue so much, she sent us a brick using our free returns service.
